Tread Lightly

In Tread Lightly Gerard pushed her exploration of light and emotion into the realms of site specific installation and physical illumination. The show, hosted by the Steve Gilbert gallery, featured new works from Gerard including large scale digital work and ink paintings.

In this exhibition, viewers were encouraged to question concepts of sacredness and purity, which are central to Gerard’s work, even going so far as to walk and stand on Gerard’s paintings. These ideas were further explored through ethereal, almost holy, lighting effects and color combinations.
