Afterglow

Afterglow’s about warmth. It’s the warmth of a rock that’s soaked up the sun and is still warm, though it’s evening now. It’s the warmth of having one drink and feeling like maybe you should dance. It’s pink sunlight filtered through smoke and that kind of day where the heat just hangs in the air.

It’s also about light, soft light, kind light. It’s the dim light of moonrise and the clear bright light of the morning on a day that’s going to be 85 degrees out. Also it’s that moment right when the sun sets and the streetlights turn on.

Afterglow was recently exhibited at the Museum of Museums in Seattle, through the Factory Gallery.
